Export from your old tool
Most newsletter platforms export a CSV with an email column and a status column. Export the whole list, including unsubscribed readers, so StalkMail knows who not to email.
If the export has extra columns, keep them. You can map them to custom fields during the import.
Upload and map
Upload the file, pick the email column, and map the status and signup date if they are present. StalkMail previews the result before anything is written.
Invalid addresses, duplicates, role addresses, known spam traps and anyone who unsubscribed or bounced before are left out. The import report tells you how many of each.
After the import
Imported contacts keep their original signup date and status. If you import a large list, send to your most engaged readers first and grow from there.
