This policy explains what we collect when you use StalkMail, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
It covers two kinds of people: account holders who use the product, and subscribers who receive email through it.
Account data
When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and a sign-in identifier from Firebase Authentication. We also store billing details through our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
We keep records of the actions taken in your account, such as creating a campaign or changing a domain, so we can support you and investigate abuse.
Subscriber data
You upload subscriber email addresses, names and any custom fields you choose. We process this data on your behalf and only for the purpose of providing the service.
We record delivery events, clicks, and, unless you turn it off, opens. We do not sell this data or use it to advertise our own products to your subscribers.
Cookies and tracking
The dashboard uses cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your theme. We do not use advertising cookies.
Emails may include an open pixel and click redirects for campaign statistics. You can turn open tracking off per newsletter, and subscribers can opt out of tracking through their email client.
Service providers
We share the minimum data needed with providers who help us run the service: hosting, database, authentication, background jobs, email delivery, asset storage and payments.
These providers are bound by contracts that limit how they can use the data. A current list is available on request.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period after it closes, so you can reactivate and so we can meet legal obligations.
Subscriber data is deleted or anonymised when you delete it, when you close your account, or when the retention period ends, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will help.
If you are a subscriber and want to stop receiving a newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email. For a data request, contact the publisher first; we act on their instructions.
Security and transfers
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and separate credentials for production systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected accounts if a breach affects their data.
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
